Sri Lanka [ Images ] off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan [ Images ] equalled the world record for most one-day wickets on Tuesday by taking his tally to 502.
The 36-year-old, playing in his 327th match, drew level with retired Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram's [ Images ] landmark in the third one-day international against India [ Images ].
Muralitharan, who also holds the world record for most Test wickets, had Yuvraj Singh [ Images ] caught to reach the mark.
