320 - India's margin of victory in runs is their biggest ever -- against any opponent. This is also the seventh highest defeat for Australia in all Tests in terms of runs margin.

7 - Number of wickets taken by leggie Amit Mishra in the Test. By an odd coincidence he is the seventh Indian to take seven or more wickets on the debut.

6 - Number of Tests India have won against Australia since 2000 -- most by any side. England is second with 4.

4 - Consecutive balls bowled by Zaheer Khan to take his three wickets. He became only the fourth Indian to take 3 wickets in four deliveries after Ravi Shastri, Kapil Dev and Anil Kumble. Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan are the only Indians to take 3 in 3.

2 - Number of Tests in which Mahendra Singh Dhoni has captained India. India have won both of them.

1 - MS Dhoni got his maiden Man of the Match award in Test cricket.
