The Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday ruled out Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium as one of the venues during India's tour of Pakistan early next year because of the renovation work the stadium is undergoing currently.

"We will not be able to finish the renovation work that includes the relaying of the outfield," Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt said.

Rawalpindi was originally scheduled to host the second Test and third limited-overs international during India's January 4 - February 19 tour, which includes three Test matches, five ODIs and a Twenty20 international.

"We have couple of other venues in mind and will shift Rawalpindi matches there," Butt added.

Faisalabad and Multan, which are slated to host the One-day internationals during the series, are the likely venues for the second Test.

Butt further said he will travel to meet with Board of Control for Cricket in India officials early next month to reassure their security concerns ahead of the tour.

He said since the BCCI has sought clearance from its government for the tour, the PCB has not set any cut-off time for a response.

"When we want the series to go as planned why should we set any cut off time?" he said.

The PCB has also lined up neutral venues Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai for the series in case India fails to receive clearance from the government to travel to Pakistan.
