India elect to bat against Sri Lanka

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni [ Images ] won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka [ Images ] in the second match of theĀ  tri-series at the Gabba [ Images ] in Brisbane [ Images ] on Tuesday.

Left-hander Yuvraj Singh [ Images ] returned to the side in place of Manoj Tiwary and Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya [ Images ] was ruled fit to play despite requiring stitches to his chin after being hit in one of the warm-ups.

The first match of the tournament, between India [ Images ] and Australia [ Images ], was washed due to heavy rain on Sunday.
