The start of the second cricket Test between India and England, at Mohali on Friday, has been delayed due to bad light.
Umpires Daryl Harper and Asad Rauf inspected the pitch under a laden sky and checked the light metre before deciding to delay commencement of play.
With the light metre reading six, both the umpires decided to wait till it reaches seven.
India won the toss elected to bat frist.
The umpires decided to have another inspection of the conditions when light improves.
India lead the two-match series 1-0 after winning the opening Test in Chennai.
