Fast bowler Sohail Tanvir has been cleared by the Pakistan Cricket Board to play for South Australia in their domestic Twenty20 league.
Tanvir said on Tuesday he received the necessary permission and will leave for Australia on December 26.
South Australia signed up the youngster for their domestic Twenty20 league as he was outstanding in the Indian Premier League, emerging the highest wicket-taker.
Tanvir expressed hope that his stint with South Australia will help him when Pakistan tours Australia next year.
"It is going to be a different experience playing in Australian conditions and I am happy to get this opportunity when Pakistan is not playing international cricket at the moment," he said.
