Javagal Srinath of ICC Elite Panel was on Tuesday named as match referee for the one-day as well as Test series between New Zealand and the West Indies starting at Dunedin from Thursday.

Apart from Srinath, the other Indian to feature in the series is Amiesh Saheba, who has been named as the on-field umpire alongwith South Africa's Rudi Koertzen and Mark Benson of England for the two Test matches.

The five ODIs, however, will be officiated by Benson alongwith a local appointment. The first ODI will be played on December 31 at Queenstown.

The first Test will be officiated by Koertzen and Saheba with Benson as the third umpire, while the Englishman will take over from Koertzen in the second Test to be played in Napier from December 19.

The ICC also decided to carry on the ongoing trials of the umpire decision review system in the upcoming Test series between New Zealand and the West Indies.

The other Test series which will feature the review system include next year's Australia's tour of South Africa in February-April, Englands sojourn to the West Indies January-April and Pakistans home series against India in January-February after which the results and feedback of the system will be brought before the ICC Cricket Committee in May.
