Former South Africa [ Images ] all rounder Shaun Pollock [ Images ] will play for English county Durham in the Twenty20 [ Images ] Cup this season, the club said on Wednesday.
Pollock, who retired from international cricket in February having played in 108 Test matches and more than 300 one-day internationals, will join up with Durham in June.
"When I got the offer from Durham I really jumped at the chance to get on board, they are determined to do well in the Twenty20 Cup and I want to contribute to that success," Pollock told the Durham Web site (www.durhamccc.co.uk).
Pollock, who will be commentating for television during South Africa's tour to England [ Images ] this year, joins former international team mates Dale Benkenstein, Durham's captain, and Albie Morkel [ Images ] at the north east club.
