Following are the statistical highlights of day two of the third and final cricket Test between India [ Images ] and South Africa [ Images ] in Kanpur on Saturday.

# Sourav Ganguly's [ Images ] seventh Test fifty against South Africa is his 34th overall.

# Ganguly (87 off 119 balls) equalled his previous highest score against South Africa.

# Ganguly, for the second time against South Africa, has recorded two successive fifties -- 87 in the second innings of the Ahmedabad [ Images ] Test before today's 87.

# Ganguly's innings is also the highest in the Kanpur Test so far.

# V V S Laxman [ Images ] scored his highest score in Kanpur, eclipsing his nine against South Africa in 2004-05.

# Laxman's 33rd fifty (50 off 103 balls) is his fifth against South Africa.

# Yuvraj Singh [ Images ] (32 off 57 balls) recorded his highest score in six Test innings. In his previous five knocks, he had made two against Pakistan, 0, 5, 12 and 0 against Australia [ Images ].

# Dale Steyn [ Images ] is now the first bowler from South Africa to capture 15 wickets (ave.18.46) in a Test series in India.

# India (288/9) established a record for most runs in a day's play against South Africa at Green Park, surpassing the 263 for four on the third day in 1996-97.

# Mahendra Singh Dhoni [ Images ] became the first Indian wicketkeeper to be stumped by his South African counterpart.

# Morne Morkel [ Images ] (3/57) produced his best performance against India, bettering his 3 for 86 at Durban in 2006.

# Rahul Dravid [ Images ] and Laxman were associated in a stand of 78 -- an Indian record for the third wicket against South Africa in Kanpur, eclipsing the 50 between Ganguly and Anil Kumble [ Images ] in 1996-97.
