Following are the statistical highlights of the Super Eight cricket match between Australia and Bangladesh in the Twenty20 World Championship in Cape Town on Sunday.

- Australian speedster Brett Lee became the first ever bowler to accomplish a hat-trick in Twenty20 Internationals when he dismissed Bangladesh's three batsmen - Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza and Alok Kapali - off successive deliveries.

- Having already performed the hat-trick in One Day Internationals, Lee is now the only bowler to achieve the distinction in ODIs as well as in Twenty20 Internationals.

- Australia's  nine-wicket triumph is their fifth in 8 matches.

- Australia's nine-wicket victory is their biggest in Twenty20 Internationals, bettering their eight-wicket win over England at Cape Town on 14.9.2007.

- Bangladesh's 123 for 8 wickets is their lowest ever Twenty20 total, surpassing their 139 for 5 against Kenya at Nairobi on 1.9.2007.

- Bangladesh have now won 3 and lost 3 out of the six Twenty20 matches they have played.

- Matthew Hayden (73 not out) posted his highest ever score, his second fifty in succession. His previous best was 67 not out against England at Cape Town on 14.9.2007.

- Hayden's batting average of 56.66 is now the best by an Australian in Twenty20 Internationals - 170 in five innings.

- The 104-run partnership between Gilchrist and Hayden is Australia's best for the first wicket, eclipsing the 78 by the same pair against England at Cape Town on 14.9.2007.

- Nathan Bracken, with 2 for 14, took his tally of wickets to 10 at 12.80 runs apiece in six matches. He is the first Australian bowler to claim 10 wickets in Twenty20 Internationals.

- Lee's bowling figures of 3 for 27 are his best in Twenty20 Internationals, eclipsing his 1 for 26 against New Zealand at Auckland on 17.2.2005.
