Riding on a fine bowling performance by RV Dhruv (four for 68), Saurashtra outplayed Rajasthan to post a 200-run victory in their Ranji Super League match at the KL Saini stadium in Jaipur on Monday.
Chasing a victory target of 389, the home batsmen faltered and were bundled out for 188 in their second essay.
Most of them did not apply themselves and threw their wickets after getting their eye in. Veteran Gagan Khoda (26), Nikhil Doru (32) and Robin Bisht (26) could not build upon their good start while Shailendra Gehlot (36) played as if batting in a one-dayer.
Dhruv helped himself to a four-wicket haul while Cheteshwar Pujara (two for four) too grabbed easy victims.
Earlier, Saurashtra had declared their second innings at their overnight score of 253 for three which left Rajasthan with an uphill victory target. Saurashtra had scored 307 in their first innings while Rajasthan replied with 172.
The defeat was Rajasthan's third in the season while it was first outright win for the visitors.
