Sudeep Tyagi [ Images ] made a sensational debut as he claimed a ten-wicket haul to help Uttar Pradesh [ Images ] to an innings victory over hosts Orissa in the Ranji Trophy Super League at the Barabati stadium in Cuttack on Monday.

Tyagi followed up his 6 for 46 in the first innings with a 4 for 46 on the third day to bowl Orissa out for 222. Uttar Pradesh had posted a huge total of 448, taking a first innings lead of 232.

Earlier, Suresh Raina [ Images ] had led his team to a strong batting display with his maiden double hundred in the Ranji Trophy. Raina scored 203 from 217 balls and was well supported by all-rounder Piyush Chawla [ Images ], who scored 69 runs.

Former champions Uttar Pradesh hence scooped all the five points on offer in the opening tie.
