India [ Images ] captain Rahul Dravid [ Images ] won the toss and elected to bat against Bangladesh in the first Test at the Chittagong Divisional stadium, in Chittagong, on Friday.

India left out V V S Laxman [ Images ] and Yuvraj Singh [ Images ], opting to go in with five bowlers. Pacers V R V Singh and R P Singh were included in the eleven after Munaf Patel [ Images ] failed to pass a fitness test in the morning.

Dinesh Karthik [ Images ] will open the innings with Wasim Jaffer [ Images ], while Mahendra Singh Dhoni [ Images ] will don the wicketkeeper's gloves.

For Bangladesh, 20-year-old Saqibul Hasan was been handed his Test debut.
Veteran Khaled Mashud also makes a comeback to the team after being dropped for the one-dayers.
India won the three-match one-day series 2-0, as the third match in Chittagong was washed out.
