Australia's [ Images ] Adam Gilchrist [ Images ] became the first player to reach the milestone of 400 dismissals in one-day internationals on Sunday.
Sachin Tendulkar [ Images ] became his 400th victim as the batsman edged paceman Glenn McGrath [ Images ] in the 10th over of the Indian innings in the Group A match of the ICC [ Images ] Champions Trophy [ Images ] at PCA stadium in Mohali.
Playing his 245th ODI, the 34-year-old wicketkeeper became the first player to reach the landmark. His tally reads 355 catches and 45 stumpings.
Incidentally, he made his one-day international debut in India [ Images ], against South Africa [ Images ] at Faridabad in October 1996.
South Africa's Mark Boucher [ Images ] is second in the list with 331 dismissals to his credit.
