Virender Sehwag got out cheaply twice during an Indian team practice match in Ahmedabad on Monday ahead of Thursday's ICC Champions Trophy encounter against the West Indies.

Sehwag, who had a short stint at the nets on Sunday, seemed ill at ease during his stay in the middle and fell first to pacer Munaf Patel by offering a catch behind the wicket.

The Delhi batsman, playing for the India 'A' team, was sent in again a little later, but his second knock was also unproductive as he edged Harbhajan Singh to slip.

Though the team management did not disclose Sehwag's scores, sources put his contribution at 3 and 5.

In fact, the Indian vice-captain's frustration showed as he threw his bat to the ground after getting out the second time.

Apart from Sehwag, two other India 'A' batsmen,  Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif, got to bat twice as coach Greg Chappell seemed intent on giving batting practice to his players.

However, the handful of spectators at the 'B' ground of the Motera stadium were treated to some late Diwali fireworks by M S Dhoni (38). who hit some towering shots, and Ajit Agarkar, who remained unbeaten on 26.

With Patel (3/18), Harbhajan Singh (2/23) and Suresh Raina (2/18) picking wickets at regular intervals, India 'A' were skittled out for 111 in 25 overs.

In reply, India 'B' rode on some fluent batting from Sachin Tendulkar (43 retd), Rahul Dravid (42 retired) and Dinesh Mongia (26) to score 137 for 1 in their allotted 25 overs.

Raina was the only man out.
