Virender Sehwag [ Images ] got out cheaply twice during an Indian team practice match in Ahmedabad [ Images ] on Monday ahead of Thursday's ICC [ Images ] Champions Trophy [ Images ] encounter against the West Indies [ Images ].
Sehwag, who had a short stint at the nets on Sunday, seemed ill at ease during his stay in the middle and fell first to pacer Munaf Patel [ Images ] by offering a catch behind the wicket.
The Delhi [ Images ] batsman, playing for the India [ Images ] 'A' team, was sent in again a little later, but his second knock was also unproductive as he edged Harbhajan Singh [ Images ] to slip.
Though the team management did not disclose Sehwag's scores, sources put his contribution at 3 and 5.
In fact, the Indian vice-captain's frustration showed as he threw his bat to the ground after getting out the second time.
Apart from Sehwag, two other India 'A' batsmen, Yuvraj Singh [ Images ] and Mohammed Kaif, got to bat twice as coach Greg Chappell [ Images ] seemed intent on giving batting practice to his players.
However, the handful of spectators at the 'B' ground of the Motera stadium were treated to some late Diwali [ Images ] fireworks by M S Dhoni [ Images ] (38). who hit some towering shots, and Ajit Agarkar [ Images ], who remained unbeaten on 26.
With Patel (3/18), Harbhajan Singh (2/23) and Suresh Raina [ Images ] (2/18) picking wickets at regular intervals, India 'A' were skittled out for 111 in 25 overs.
In reply, India 'B' rode on some fluent batting from Sachin Tendulkar [ Images ] (43 retd), Rahul Dravid [ Images ] (42 retired) and Dinesh Mongia (26) to score 137 for 1 in their allotted 25 overs.
Raina was the only man out.
