Shahriar Nafees became the first batsman from Bangladesh to score two centuries in One-Day Internationals when he hit an unbeaten 123 against Zimbabwe in a Champions Trophy qualifying match in Jaipur on Friday.

The 20-year-old left-hander, recently named Bangladesh's Cricketer of the Year, also became his country's highest scorer in One-Day Internationals, surpassing his own unbeaten 118 against Zimbabwe at Harare two months ago.

His first hundred in ODIs was 118 not out off 148 balls against Zimbabwe at Harare on August 6, 2006.

Rajin Saleh (vs Kenya at Fatullah on 25.3.2006), Mohammad Ashraful (100 against Australia at Cardiff on 18.6.2005) and Mehrab Hossain (vs Zimbabwe at Dhaka on 25.3.1999) have recorded a century each for Bangladesh in ODIs.

Shahriar's innings is now the highest by any batsman from Bangladesh in the ICC Champions Trophy, surpassing Haqibul Hasan's 67 not out against Sri Lanka at Mohali on 7.10.2006.

Shahriar is the third left-hander after Upul Tharanga (2) and Chris Gayle (1) to post a hundred in the 2006 edition of the ICC Champions Trophy.

When on 1, Rajin Saleh completed his 1000 runs -- 1,005, at an average of 23.92 in 43 matches.  He is the sixth to aggregate 1,000 runs for Bangladesh, joining Khaled Mashud, Habibul Bashar, Mohammad Ashraful, Javed Omer and Mohammad Rafique.
