Rain delays start of first WI ODI

The start of the first One-Day International between India [ Images ] and the West Indies [ Images ], at Sabina Park, Kingston [ Images ], Jamaica, was delayed due to heavy overnight rain.

Umpire Steve Bucknor [ Images ] announced that an hour's play will be lost, resulting in a 45-over game.

More rain this morning had earlier virtually ruled out the possibility of play.
