India may get to host the grand finale of the 2011 Cricket World Cup, a top Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official said in New Delhi on Friday.
BCCI's key Marketing Committee member I S Bindra said going by rotation policy, India should get to host the final of the mega event.
"There is a rotation policy in place. India hosted the final in 1987 while the 1996 final was played in Pakistan. Going by the same principle, India should host the final," Bindra told reporters.

"We would have our first meeting by June because we don't have much time left. It may seem that it's still five years away but there is so much to do and you will never know as the time will run out."
Bindra had represented the Asian bloc, which defeated a joint proposal by Australia and New Zealand to earn the rights to host the 2011 edition at an ICC meeting in Dubai on Sunday.
