The third day's play in the first Test between India and England is unlikely to begin on time following heavy rain that lashed Nagpur on Thursday evening.
No sooner did play end on the second day, it started pouring and there was no let-up till late evening. The rain was accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Although the pitch and the bowler's run-up area are covered, it looks unlikely that the match will have the scheduled 1000 hours start as the outfield is waterlogged.
India ended the second day on 136 for 1 in reply to England's first innngs of 393.
