Sachin Tendulkar was on Sunday felicitated by the Karachi Cricket Association and a memento presented to him in the form of a crystal shield before the commencement of the third and final Test between India and Pakistan in Karachi at the National Stadium.
The memento was given to Tendulkar with an inscription detailing the fact that he had made his Test debut here 16 yeas ago on November 15, 1989, and he was now representing India for the 129th time in the longer version of the game, a media release from the association said.
The honours were done by the association's secretary Prof Syed Sirajul Islam Bukhari who, incidentally, was having the same post when the Indian champion played his first Test under the captaincy of Krish Srikkanth.
