Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly, currently playing for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy, scored a fluent 88 in the second innings against Tamil Nadu on Friday.

He scored 59 in the first innings and must have surely impressed the selectors by his much-needed form. He also contributed well with the ball as his figures read 15.5-2-62-3 and 14-3-32-2.

In Tamil Nadu's first innings, Ganguly was barred from bowling after he was found guilty of straying on the pitch despite repeated warnings from the umpire.

The Bengal team was unable to stop Tamil Nadu from claiming the full four points from the game, as it lost the match by 222 runs.

The Indian squad arrived in Pakistan on Thursday night amidst stringent security at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore. Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, Anil Kumble and Parthiv Patel, who have stayed behind to complete appearances in the Ranji Trophy, will join the squad on Saturday.
