Indian captain Rahul Dravid [ Images ] has called for cricket contests with Pakistan to be put on regularised schedule in the same way as the Ashes series between Australia [ Images ] and England [ Images ].
Dravid said he believed that there was a need for a schedule as excessive cricket between the two nations would diminish the interest and excitement surrounding the contests.
"It is natural that if you play too much against one country people tend to lost interest," Dravid told a news conference in Lahore [ Images ] on Friday.
"The two boards I think are working on a solution which would be good for cricket in both countries."
