Pak name uncapped opener in squad

Pakistan on Monday named a strong 18-man squad for the conditioning camp ahead of the series against India [ Images ] starting from January 5.

The provisional squad includes uncapped Riffatullah Mohmand who scored 444 runs with three hundreds in Pakistan's premier domestic cricket tournament Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in 2005.

He also scored an impressive 55 against England [ Images ] in a limited overs practice match in December.

The 18-member squad is as follows:

Inzamam-ul-Haq [ Images ], Salman Butt [ Images ], Shoaib Malik [ Images ], Younis Khan [ Images ], Mohammad Yousuf [ Images ], Shahid Afridi [ Images ], Abdul Razzaq [ Images ], Shoaib Akhtar [ Images ], Kamran Akmal, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Mohammad Sami [ Images ], Danish Kaneria, Arshad Khan, Mohammad Asif [ Images ], Umar Gul, Asim Kamal, Yasir Hameed [ Images ], Raffatullah Mohmand.
