Chairman of selectors Kiran More on Wednesday said the Indian team could do without a bowling coach as the present support staff is performing that role well.

More said coach Greg Chappell is not only focussing on the batting department but also helping the players on the bowling front and the performance of young fast bowlers in the team was proof that the system is working well.

"When in Pakistan, we had bowling meetings among the captain, the coach and myself everyday. And I think it worked well. The fast bowlers did a fantastic job in the series," More, a former India wicketkeeper, said.

"We know what has to be done. Greg [Chappell] has done excellently, not only with the batsmen but with the bowlers also. And the youngsters have taken advantage of that."

More, however, agreed that more work needs to be done in the fast bowling department.

"Internationally, it is fast bowlers who are winning matches. We have a young crop now. V R V Singh, Sreesanth, S S Paul and others have been given opportunities. We need to have eight to nine bowler, who must be ready when the chance comes at the international level," he said.

More also said there is no concern with the spin bowling options available.

"We have enough spinners in our country. Of course it is not easy to replace somebody with a track record like Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh, but there is no need to panic. We have back up for Kumble and Harbhajan, not one or two but three or four," the former India stumper said.
