Shoaib ruled out of Rawalpindi ODI

Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar [ Images ] has been ruled out of the second one-day international against India [ Images ] to be played in Rawalpindi on Saturday.

Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul Haq said the pace spearhead had failed to recover from a strain in his ankle.

"He has been ruled out of tomorrow's match. We will see if he can play in the third match in Lahore [ Images ]," he said.

The Pakistan team management had earlier said that Shoaib missed the first ODI in Peshawar due to the rotation policy empolyed by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
