The Indian team has been fined 10 percent of its match fee for slow over rate during the first one-day international against Pakistan in Peshawar on Monday.

The Indians, who fielded four fast bowlers, failed to complete their overs in time, finishing eight minutes behind schedule.

According to reports, captain Rahul Dravid was fined 20 percent of his match fees.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is also looking to maintain their over rate in the series and avoid any penalties. Captain Inzamam-ul Haq has faced the brunt of the match referees several times in the past for the team's slow over rate.

If a team is behind the required over rate by more than five overs, the match referee can suspend the captain for up to two matches and impose a fine on the team.
