Pakistan won the toss and elected to field in the first one-day international against India in Peshawar on Monday.

India dropped Gautam Gambhir, Rudra Pratap Singh and Harbhajan Singh from the eleven and named Suresh Raina as the Super sub. Middle order batsman Mohammad Kaif, left arm spinner Murali Kartik and swing bowler S Sreesanth have been included.

Pakistan sprang a surprise by resting fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar along with Faisal Iqbal, opener Imran Farhat and all-rounder Yasir Arafat.

Playing his first game in Pakistan since April 2004, pacer Umar Gul replaced Shoaib.

Inzamam also returned to the side after recovering from a back injury that forced him to miss last week's third and final Test against India in Karachi.

Teams:

India: Rahul Dravid (captain), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Mohammad Kaif, M S Dhoni, Irfan Pathan, Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan, Murali Kartik, S Sreesanth, Super sub: Suresh Raina

Pakistan: Inzamam-ul-Haq (captain), Mohammad Yousuf, Younis Khan, Salman Butt, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Abdul Razzaq, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Asif, Rana Naved, Umar Gul, Super sub Arshad Khan
