The review committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India which met in Mumbai on Tuesday came to the conclusion that the recent spat between coach Greg Chappell and captain Sourav Ganguly was a case of "miscommunication" and what was reported in the media was "far from truth".
BCCI president Ranbir Singh Mahendra, speaking to the media after the meeting, said the Board asked the coach and captain to work mutually and maintain a working relationship. He added that both agreed to do for the betterment of the game in India.

Mahendra said, henceforth, no player, the captain or coach will have any interaction with the media.
"Any player going to the media will face disciplinary action."
He said Chappell's accusation that Ganguly was faking injury was also borne out of "miscommunication".
"There was no MRI facility in Mutare and hence no way to verify the claim. After hearing the people concerned, we feel there was some miscommunication and whatever was stated is far from truth," Mahendra said.
He added that the committee was happy with Chappell's performance thus far.
The review committee had separate discussions with Ganguly, Chappell and manager for the Zimbabwe tour Amitab Chowdhary before holding a joint meeting with them.
The review committee's exercise, which lasted a little over three hours, also discussed the coach's report on the tours of Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
To a question, Mahendra replied, "At present Ganguly is the captain. Unless and until a new captain is appointed, he is the captain."
On the role of the coach and captain, he said, "The captain has to control the game and the coach has to do his job. They both can discuss with each other everything pertaining to the game."
Mahendra also informed that the BCCI is investigating how Chappell's e-mail to the Board was leaked out.
