The six-member committee, which meets in Mumbai on Tuesday to find a solution to the lingering spat between Indian cricket coach Greg Chappell and captain Sourav Ganguly, is likely to call the two of them separately while team manager on the Zimbabwe tour Amitabh Choudhary may also be asked to give his version.

"My assessment is that Chappell and Sourav will be called to the meeting separately to prevent any more direct confrontation between the two," BCCI joint secretary Gautam Dasgupta said on Monday.

member of the committee, said Choudhary had been asked to remain in Mumbai till the meeting is over.

"While Choudhary's report on the tour would form a substantial part of the deliberation, he may also be asked to give his views in person before the committee," the official said.

"However the entire format would be finalised during an initial meeting of the committee," he said.

The high-profile committee, comprising three former captains -- Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri and S Venkataraghavan, would meet first to decide on the format and other aspects of the review meeting.

The meeting was originally convened to review the performance of the Indian team in Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe but it has now assumed larger significance in view of the recent off-field developments.

The unprecedented controversy, triggered by Ganguly's remark at a media briefing after the first Test in Zimbabwe that he had been asked to step down before the match by the coach and culminating in the latest leak of Chappell's e-mail to the BCCI in which he levelled serious allegations against Ganguly, is likely to top the agenda.

Asked whether there is any possibility of Chappell and Ganguly being called for a second time for a joint session if they gave contradictory views to the committee, the BCCI official said "that cannot be said now".

"Let the committee meet first and we will see how the deliberation goes and based on that we will take a decision," he said.
