India's left-arm pace bowler Irfan Pathan, who was in Mumbai on Tuesday, refused to comment on the spat between coach Greg Chappell and Sourav Ganguly, but was effusive in praise of the team support staff.

"Gregory King (physical trainer) has done a great job with the boys. Chappell and (Ian) Frazer have started extra fielding sessions that has helped raise the fitness standards in the team," Pathan said, during a promotional campaign.

The Baroda speedster, who had a fantastic run in the Test series in Zimbabwe, picking 21 wickets in two matches, said he is looking forward to putting up a good show under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid, who was appointed to lead the Indian side for the One-Day International home series against Sri Lanka and South Africa.

"The Sri Lanka series will be a big challenge. Also playing 12 one-day matches back-to-back (seven against Sri Lanka and five against South Africa) is going to be tough," he said.

The 20-year-old added that he is working on some areas to improve his bowling.

"I am working on how to bowl on Indian pitches. I know I have some limitations on the pitches here, but I will try my best. In India, the ball comes onto the bat well, so it is difficult for fast bowlers."
