The latest experimental laws introduced by the International Cricket Council in one-day internationals, including Power Play and Super Sub, will be tried in the Challenger Series beginning in Mohali, on Monday.

Punjab Cricket Association president I S Bindra told reporters on Saturday that mat cameras would also be in place for leg before wicket decisions, but said its implementation would be subject to final clearance.

"This is being tried in Australia in the Super Series. We haven't received clarification on this from Australia, but other two rules are being definitely introduced," he said.

The star attraction of the series is going to be Sachin Tendulkar who would be hoping to regain his touch after missing the action for a while on account of elbow trouble.

Meanwhile, highlighting what he termed as "breakthrough" in terms of sponsorship of domestic cricket, Bindra said that while Kingfisher were the title sponsors and also the sponsors of the India 'B' team, cellular major AirTel would sponsor the India Seniors and pharma major AlChemist would sponsor the India 'A' team.

"For PCA, we are looking at this event as a bigger event than the previous India-Pakistan Test match we hosted earlier this year. At the end of the day, domestic cricket is more important because it gives you bench strength to choose from which we are utterly lacking now," he said.
