Leg spinner Cameron White [ Images ], rushed into the Australia [ Images ] squad after an injury to Brad Hogg [ Images ], has been named in the team for the opening one-day match against the World XI on Wednesday.

The Victoria captain, who impressed with both bat and ball in his state's 12-run loss to the World XI on Sunday, was added to Australia's squad on Monday when Hogg was sent home for surgery on a knee injury.

Fast bowler Stuart Clark, who replaced the injured Shaun Tait [ Images ], was left out of the 12-man squad with left arm fast bowler Nathan Bracken [ Images ] being preferred instead.

Adam Gilchrist [ Images ] will open the batting with a new partner after Matthew Hayden [ Images ] was dropped from the one-day side.
