The first day's play in the four-day Ranji Trophy lung opener between Assam and Kerala was washed out on Wednesday without a ball being bowled, due to unseasonal rain and wet ground conditions.
Rain since the last couple of days rendered the Jalan stadium in Dibrugarh waterlogged, forcing the umpires to abandon play.
Earlier, both teams stayed indoors with rain pouring in this Upper Assam township.
With weather predictions not bright for Thursday too, the match is set to be a truncated affair.
