Swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag said on Saturday that he is not nursing any ambition to become India's cricket captain and it is too early for him to think over the issue.

"There are many players in the team who are senior to me and therefore, I am not thinking on that line," Sehwag, who is in Pune for a commercial shoot, told reporters when asked whether he is looking forward to leading India some day.

Commenting on Greg Chappell's appointment as the new coach of the national side, Sehwag said, "We had a good experience with John Wright. We hope to have a good experience with Chappell too."

Stating that his dream is to play for the country as long as possible, he disagreed with some people who believed that participation of cricketers in too many commercial campaigns is affecting their performance on the field.

"It is off-season. There is no cricket being played and no practice session is being held. It is off-time for us, like you people who have your holidays. Therefore it is absolutely up to us how to utilise our free time", he said.

When asked if he had any plans to appear in music videos and films, Sehwag said, "No films and pictures for me."

Sehwag, who is quite popular with children, said: "Sachin Tendulkar was one of my favourites. I am fortunate to have reached this stage of life where I am popular with people, particularly children. I am conscious not to disappoint them if they ever wished to meet me", he said.
