Delhi's Ferozeshah Kotla stadium is unlikely to host the sixth and final one-day international match between India and Pakistan on April 17.
The Delhi and District Cricket Association's Executive Committee which met on Thursday did not categorically rule out staging the match but said that the conditions imposed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the security agencies were "quite onerous".
The DDCA President Arun Jaitley said after the meeting that it was upto the BCCI to now take a final decision on the venue.
"We have expressed our reservations on conditions imposed by the MCD and security agencies. We have decided to immediately convey our views to the BCCI on Thursday itself.
"It is now upto the BCCI to decide," Jaitley said.
The Executive Board meeting which lasted for about two hours came a day after a high level Home Ministry and security delegation visited the Kotla ground to make an on the spot assessment of the security requirements.
The match, the first international event at the ground in four years, had assumed importance in view of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's expected visit.
The debate on whether the Kotla, which is undergoing massive renovation work, would be ready in time had been raging ever since the BCCI allotted the sixth ODI.
Although the DDCA was confident of completing the work before the deadline, the MCD's no clearance and the security requirements has put a major hurdle to Delhi hosting the high profile match.
