Sourav Ganguly is not worried about his immediate cricket future.

The former India captain, who is serving a six-match ban, said he is yet to hear anything about his return to the Indian team for the upcoming triangular series in Sri Lanka.

"I haven't heard anything but it doesn't worry me," said Ganguly after playing his final game for English county side Glamorgan.

"If they want me I'll go to Sri Lanka; if not I'll go home to my wife and little girl."

Ganguly, who was banned for his side's slow overrate in the home series against Pakistan, has been picked as a provisional member of the Indian team for the Sri Lanka tournament.

With Rahul Dravid leading the side, his chances of joining the team rests on Justice Albie Sachs, who is hearing an appeal against his ban.

The stylish left-hand batsman said he is prepared for the hectic year ahead and thanked Glamorgan for the two-month stint with the team.

"The two months in Wales have really helped me prepare for a busy year ahead," he was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"The boys in the dressing room, the people, the press -- everything has been fantastic."

Ganguly had also a piece of advice for the struggling county side that suffered nine defeats in 10 championship games.

"Glamorgan have a young team and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here. But they definitely need two overseas players for the full season to help the youngsters come through," he said.

"Glamorgan need the right overseas stars, plus hard work in the nets, on fitness, and on mental toughness," said the Indian, who impressed with the bat during his short stint, but could not turn around the club's fortunes.

"They feel they are already down in the championship, but fairly safe in the Totesport League," he added.

"They want to give their youngsters experience in the six remaining Championship matches, to find out who can deliver next year."
