Glenn McGrath claimed his 500th wicket in Tests when he dismissed England opener Marcus Trescothick on day one of the first Ashes Test at Lord's in London on Thursday.
Trescothick was caught off the first ball after the tea interval, by Justin Langer in the slips, for 4.
Earlier, Steve Harmison took 5 for 43 to bowl out Australia for 190.
The famed Aussie batting lasted just 40.2 overs as Andrew Flintoff and Simon Jones claimed two wickets each.
McGrath, 35, is fourth on the list of Test wicket-takers, behind Shane Warne (583), Muttiah Muralitharan (539) and Courtney Walsh (519).
