Bangalore venue gets thumbs up

The two-member security team of the Pakistan Cricket Board virtually gave the green signal to Bangalore hosting one of the Test matches in the upcoming series against India [ Images ].

"I won't be making any comments but things look good on the ground. I am sure match will be held here [Bangalore]," PCB general manager (Operations) Zakir Khan said.

Zakir and Sohail Khan [ Images ], Senior Superintendent of Police, Lahore [ Images ], inspected the M Chinnaswamy stadium, and were briefed by Karnataka [ Images ] State Cricket Association secretary Brijesh Patel.

"We looked at the facilities ... the pavilion, practice facilities, match-pitch and ground itself. We will make a report and submit it to the PCB," Zakir said.

A former cricketer, Zakir said he also talked with Patel regarding "good old cricketing days".
