Duleep Trophy tie shifted to Delhi

The Duleep Trophy league match between Central Zone and Bangladesh, scheduled to be held in Jaipur [ Images ] from March 1, would now be held at the Railways cricket ground in Delhi [ Images ].

"The decision to shift the match to Delhi was taken some days ago," BCCI Secretary S K Nair said on Sunday.

Although there was no official word on why the match was being shifted to Delhi, it is believed that the wrangling within the Rajasthan [ Images ] Cricket Association was the reason behind the move.

An acrimonious election to the RCA recently saw decades old reign of the Rungtas coming to an end and industrialist Lalit Modi [ Images ] taking over as president of the body.

The other league match of the Duleep Trophy between North and South Zone would be held in Indore.
