Security has been tightened in and around the Motera cricket ground in Ahmedabad following report of threats to damage the pitch where India is scheduled to play Pakistan in a one-day international in April.
Additional force has been deployed at the stadium and the security around the pitch has been tightened, police officials said in Ahmedabad.
However, Gujarat Cricket Association President Narhari Amin said that he has not received any threat call but had only heard about it.
Pakistan refused to play a Test match at the venue citing security reasons and agreed to play an additional one-day match in the city after much persuasion from the BCCI.
The Motera ground is scheduled to host the fourth of the six-match one-day international series on April 12.
