Play to start at 1000 IST

Heavy dew on the outfield delayed play for the fifth consecutive day in the third and final Test between India [ Images ] and Sri Lanka [ Images ] at the Sardar Patel stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad [ Images ], on Thursday.

The umpires inspected the outfield at 0930 IST and decided that play will start at 1000 IST.

India need four Lankan wickets to complete a 2-0 victory in the three-match series.

Sri Lanka were reduced to 235 for 6 at the end of fourth day's play after being set a mammoth target of 509 runs.
