Clearly upset at missing the second Test against Sri Lanka with a throat infection, India opener Virender Sehwag was back in the Ferozeshah Kotla ground in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The local favourite was seen in Team India tracksuit out in the middle at the lunch break, giving tips to Mohammed Kaif while the latter, 12th man in the match, was practicing near the pavilion end boundary.

The swashbuckling opener was hospitalised with a throat infection and body ache and doctors at the city hospital advised him to skip the match for being too weak to play.

Sehwag is almost certain to play in the third and final Test, which begins in Ahmedabad on December 18.

The Najafgarh lad was also seen discussing issues with the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) officials at his home ground, while a section of the crowd, though disappointed at missing their hero in action, went frenzy and screamed ''Viru, Viru'' when they saw him in the middle.
