India make three changes against Sri Lanka

India captain Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka in a league match of the triangular cricket series in Dambulla on Wednesday.

India made three changes to the side that played West Indies on Monday with Sourav Ganguly returning to the side after serving a four-match ban while V V S Laxman came in after recovering from a back spasm.

Yuvraj Singh and Y Venugopal Rao made way for the two veteran players.

Seamer Laxmipathy Balaji will also play his first match of the series in place of Zaheer Khan.

Sri Lanka are without opener Sanath Jayasuriya who dislocated his shoulder during the opening match of the series here last week. Off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has also been rested for the match.

Seamer Pradeep Jayaprakashdaran would be making his debut for Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka: Marvan Atapattu (captain), Upul Tharanga, Kumara Sangakkara, Tillekaratne Dilshan, Mahela Jayawardene, Russel Arnold, Upul Chandana, Dilhara Fernando, Ferveez Mahroof, Dilhara Lokuhettige, Pradeep Jayaprakashdaran.
