Ganguly joins the 10,000 runs club

Sourav Ganguly [ Images ] on Wednesday became the third batsman in One-Day Internationals history to complete 10,000 runs. Others to do so are fellow countryman Sachin Tendulkar [ Images ] and Pakistan's Inzamam-ul-Haq [ Images ].

Note: It must be noted that all of Ganguly's runs have not come for India.

His aggregate includes an innings of 22 for an Asian XI v World XI in a Tsunami [ Images ] Relief Fund match played at Melbourne [ Images ] in January this year, which was given official status by ICC [ Images ], but not considered by many statisticians (most notably by Bill Frindall) since it flouted ICC's own ruling about official ODIs.

So technically Ganguly is still 4 short of completing his 10,000 runs for TEAM INDIA.
