Stand-in skipper Rahul Dravid said Indians were not playing to their potential in one-day matches and asked the players to make use of the break to work on their shortcomings, after losing to Pakistan by 159 runs in the sixth ODI of the series

The hosts, who let go a 2-0 lead, lost the sixth and final one-dayer in New Delhi on Sunday by 159 runs and the series 2-4.

"We have not been playing to our potential in the one-dayers for a while now and not just in this series. We need to work on all-round aspects to improve our performance.

We have a break now and all guys should work on individual issues so that we come back as a stronger team," Dravid said after India lost the sixth one-dayer today to lose the six-match series against Pakistan.

Dravid said it was tough to chase a score of over 300 runs on the Ferozeshah Kotla wicket with the ball keeping low as the game progressed but gave full credit to the visitors for exploiting the conditions to their advantage.

Pointing out that it was essential to keep wickets in hand chasing a big total, he said the team failed to do that.

The same thing happened when India failed to chase a target of over 300 runs in the third one-dayer at Jamshedpur.

The Indian captain said they were hoping to restrict Pakistan for 250 runs but the visitors batted really well to go beyond the 300 run mark.

Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq said the toss played a very important role in the outcome of the match.

"The toss played a very important role. It was difficult to chase even 240-250 runs on this wicket," he said.

Inzamam said the key to their success was the self belief of the players and the amount of hard work they put in during the series.

Shoaib Malik, who scored 72 runs today, was the man-of-the-match while medium pacer Rana Naveed-ul Hasan, who took 15 wickets in the series, bagged the man-of-the-series award.
