One thousand Pakistani cricket fans are expected to watch the fifth one-day international match between India and Pakistan at the Green Park Stadium on April 15.
"A demand of 1000 tickets for Pakistani cricket fans was received and 1000 tickets of 'D' enclosure have been sent to Pakistan High Commission office at New Delhi," Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association Media manager Inder Mohan Rohtagi said in Kanpur on Saturday.
According to information, Pakistan Information Minister, Sports Secretary and some former cricketers including Zaheer Abbas were also expected to witness the match.
Rohtagi said a list of 28 journalists and lensmen had already arrived at the UPCA office and all preparation to host the one-dayer were complete.
"The sale of tickets would start on Monday in select branches of the Central Bank of India," he said.
Rohatgi said both the teams would arrive here by road from Lucknow on April 13 evening and take the nets next day amidst tight security arrangement at the stadium.
