The Board of Control for Cricket in India has convened an emergency meeting of its working committee in Kolkata on September 16 to discuss the vexed issue of television rights.
A statement from the BCCI said the meeting would discuss the latest position with regard to the rights issue and decide the future course of action.
The meeting has been convened in the backdrop of ESPN-STAR Sports moving the Bombay high court against BCCI's decision to award the rights for all international matches to be held in India from September 2004 to August 2007 to Zee Telefilms Limited.
Earlier on Tuesday, Zee Television Network informed the BCCI and ESPN-Star Sports that it is not prepared to accept the Bombay high court's suggestion of submitting fresh bids.
An affidavit to that effect was filed by Zee TV Network in the Mumbai high court and copies of it were served on the BCCI and ESPN-Star Sports, a top official of Zee TV Network said.
