Kumble, Martyn emerge top

Australia's Damien Martyn emerged as the top run scorer, while Indian leg-spinner Anil Kumble took the most wickets in the recently concluded four-Test series between India and Australia.

Martyn scored a total of 444 at an average of 55.50 with 2 centuries and 2 half-centuries and played a vital role as Australia won their first Test series on Indian soil after 35 years.

Kumble once again showed how dangerous he can be at home. The veteran leg spinner scalped 27 wickets with 3 five-wicket hauls and 1 ten-wicket haul to his credit.
