Indian cricket skipper Sourav Ganguly said that it was a tough decision for the selectors to choose between paceman Ajit Agarkar and Ashish Nehra for the Asia Cup, but the scales tilted in favour of the latter due to his good performance in the nets.
"Nehra's good performance at the nets won the day for him. But it was a tough decision and a close call," Ganguly said on his return from Chennai after attending the conditioning camp for the Colombo event.
Asked whether the team was concerned over security following the suicide blast in Colombo that left four policemen dead and 12 others wounded, Ganguly said "this is a matter for the Board to look into. I understand that BCCI Secretary S K Nair is speaking to the Sri Lanka cricket board officials on this."
