India record their highest match aggregate

India's [ Images ] match aggregate of 916 for the loss of nine wickets in the Sydney [ Images ] match is their highest in Tests.

Their previous highest match aggregate was 829 for the loss of 18 wickets, against the West Indies [ Images ] at Kolkata [ Images ] in 2002-03.

India's aggregate is also the highest by any side against Australia [ Images ], beating England's [ Images ] 65 year-old record. The aggregate is also the 11th highest by a side in Test history.
